| What were you and Jarret Doing there? |
We went to the exhibit to be in the commercial for the Body Within. |
| How many people were there? |
About 10-15 kids about our age and their parents; so maybe about 50. They used everyone for the commercial. |
They used Mom in the commercial too. She was not too happy. She said she was having a bad hair day. (boys laugh) |
Did they give you a tour?
You went after the museum closed, didn’t you? |
Yes, it was awesome to be there after hours. I kept thinking we were going to get in trouble – but we knew we couldn’t – that was the best! (more laughs) |
It was exciting to see all the bodies without a big crowd – you got great views of everything. |
| Describe your initial reaction when you saw the first body? |
It was scary. I covered my eye for a second. |
I wasn’t scared, but it was the most disgusting thing I’ve every seen. More disgusting than looking at my mother’s meatball mixture. (Before I have to mix it!) |
Yeah, it didn’t look like body parts. |
But when you kept looking and studied it – I realized it was fascinating to see the human body in this way. |
| What part of the body was completely different than the way you imagined it? |
The brain – it was really intricate – so much is going on. I may never call my brother “brain-dead” again. |
I don’t know – every part of the body! |
| Would you tell your friends to go? |
J & V – Definitely – But don’t take your brother or sister if they’re too young – it could be scary. |
| How long did it take to film the commercial? |
It was soooo long. We were there until about 12:30am – the others stayed, but we left.
I barely got up the next day. |
That is long, was it fun? |
Yeah, we met some great people and the director was really funny and nice. He got pizza for everyone.
Next time – I’m bringing a pillow. |
| What was your favorite part? |
The Gift Shop – they had such cool things |
I loved the display of the guy who is on the billboards. It was more amazing in person. |
